Gravel Tent / Campervan Pitch - The Mead

Gravel Tent / Campervan pitch, measuring a maximum of 8m x 8m with 16amp electrical hook-up. Suitable for a single tent only up to a maximum of 6 x 4 metres (including porch / awnings) or a campervan with standard width (3m) drive away awning. Our ‘No More Mud’ gravel tent and campervan pitches are finished with small pea gravel, what this means for your tent is there are no big sharp stones to make holes. We do however recommend using an extra piece of tarp as a barrier between the gravel and your ground sheet just to make sure your built-in groundsheet is protected. We recommend the use of hard ground pegs; they are pretty much big nails and can be purchased on amazon or any camping shop - we also keep some here to purchase if you forget to bring some with you.

All our touring pitch guests have full use of all our fantastic on-site leisure facilities.

Because we want you to get the most for your money at Whitemead Forest Park our prices are all inclusive. Therefore, there are no additional charges for:

Electricity – all pitches have 16 amp electrical hook-ups
Shower and toilet block facilities
Family bathroom
Washing up points
Chemical disposal units
Free on-site leisure facilities

On site

Pitches will be available from 2pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11am on the morning of departure.

For health and safety reasons and to make sure everyone has a pleasant stay at Whitemead Forest Park, we ask that all pitches are used in line with our pitching instructions, code of conduct and terms and conditions.

To find out where in the park the touring pitches are you can view the site plan. We are happy to take requests for specific pitches however, these are requests and cannot be guaranteed.

Useful Info

Q. When can I arrive?
A. Pitches are available from 2pm on your arrival date and must be vacated by 11am on your day of departure. Early arrival and late departures may be available at certain times of year (extra charges apply).

Q. Is there a minimum stay?
A. For caravan and camping pitches can be booked on a nightly basis however there is a minimum stay policy of two nights on weekends and three nights during school holidays or on bank holiday weekends .

Q. How many people can I bring?
A. Pitches may be occupied by a maximum of six people.

Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. Dogs are permitted, to a maximum of two per pitch. There is no extra charge for dogs.
